Huisinis Reds

Just getting to Huisinis feels adventurous. It’s a twelve-mile single-track road but the remote little headland is worth it.

Along the way we got excited by an inviting sign pointing to a viewing point for eagles, but the mist was thick and low - we could barely see where the path went, let alone anything majestic – mutter mutter.

We parked our van by a small building for visitors to shelter, it has a large glass fronted window in a room full of picnic tables and is perfect for escaping the weather whilst admiring the view.

Thankfully, the beach wasn’t too misty, and it was quiet which suits me.

When I saw the mostly sandy beach, I was worried I wouldn’t find much to photograph, but tucked away to the east were plenty of these distinctive red rocks, not yet worn smooth. Selecting and laying out rocks that please me is such a pleasure - I like to imagine someone else smiling as they too find them.

From here you can walk to the North side of the headland where the beach is very rocky - more clocks - woo hoo!

  • UV Print

Utilising some of the most up-to-date printing technology in the world, Ultraviolet (UV) printing is a technique using special curing ink. Directly after being sprayed onto the reverse of the acrylic, the ink is hardened with UV light.

This production method offers high quality print, is fade and scratch resistant, and the finished print will have a more durable surface than a solvent based printing process.

UV printers are also more environmentally friendly when compared to other types of printer.
